Fudan University Summer School
CNJT x Fudan University present: China Summer School 2026, which invites lifelong students to learn about the changing world order at one of China’s top universities.
You will be interacting and learning with leading scholars, including Lu Di, Zhou Yongmei, Qi Hao, Li Hansong, Radhika Desai, Alan Freeman, Busani Ngcaweni, Emily Wilcox, and Ben Norton; Go on a field trip to rural Guizhou to learn first-hand about poverty alleviation programs; Explore contemporary socialist infrastructure and everyday life in Shanghai.

Schedule
Arrive in Shanghai; Dinner Orientation with CNJT team and cohort in Shanghai (optional)
Classes commence at Fudan University; Attend lectures from top scholars including: Lu Di, Zhou Yongmei, Qi Hao, Li Hansong, Radhika Desai, Alan Freeman, Busani Ngcaweni, Emily Wilcox, Ben Norton
Meet local Guizhou officials; Learn about poverty alleviation in Guizhou; Experience the Football Village Superleague Festival
First Congress Museum and Site to understand the origin of the Communist Party in Shanghai; Visit Tencent/Tech Headquarters for insight into contemporary modern Chinese development; Learn how to make a local Shanghainese delicacy for dinner
Visit a local Community Center and have lunch at the community canteen; Luxun Cafe for the history of Luxun’s legacy and political awakening in Shanghai; Visit Luxun Park to dance with the aunties and uncles; Farewell Dinner
